A couple of spreads from UK Elle Decoration and a colletion of found objects (destined to be reincarnated as fabulous pieces of Triple Cee jewellery) share a symmetry of colour and shape.

Dog in (cool) space
Rexy rockin' a nonchalant pose on the couch in front of one of a pair of Danish desk lamps from The Vintage Yard Sale, a photograph of New York's Chrysler Building from my talented and beautiful sister, and a print from Tasmanian/Czechoslovakian artist Tom Samek.
Rexy is next to my heart all the time.

Calm above, mess below
So long beautiful Rexy, so long crappy bathroom
There's been no posts since Saturday because the bathroom renovation has been in full swing.
Plus, I lost my darling little Rexy during the week when he was hit by a car.
I miss him so much, but I soldier on with the bathroom.

Bathing beauties
Yup, not long now and the bathroom's gonna look a little something like this.

Piles of bathroom tiles
After ending my search for a small, glossy, white, wavy-finish brick-shaped tile at a large square version, I had a mini freak-out after handing over my hard-earned and seeing them en masse.
But, I settled with liking them, after all, I think the effect (which looks like a dimpled golf ball to me as opposed to a gently undulating surface), will look good matched with the small white penny-round mosaics that are going on the floor (when they arrive, in all their $$$ glory on Monday).

Boxes of tiles in the newly painted room

Gardening glamour
Gardening is not glamorous, so no images of gumbooted, flanelette-shirted style, instead, a disco moment at the bottom of the stairs and a photo of a very cool US stylist who I can't remember the name of, but I like her look.
All the while, I'm actually procrastinating to avoid starting up the scary-looking garden trimmer...

Holiday mode
Rex and I took a walk to get a good coffee from Qualia.
We picked up some cushion inserts for vintage silk scarf cushion covers (watch this space).
On our return trip, I documented all the bits and pieces that either make me laugh or admire.
The postman had been when I returned home and delivered my debut Amazon purchase all the way from the US of A: Lucio Fulci's 1969 film Perversion Story.
It's classic giallo, quite ridiculous, but mid-century modern stylish with a '60s Italian-US mix.
But, it has the most amazing jazz soundtrack, so, I bought the DVD version with Riz Ortolani's 11-track soundtrack included. It's fabulous.
Plus, I'm 99% certain track six boasts the saxophone solo that LL Cool J went on to sample in his super-cool 1987 hit Going Back to Cali.
But now I have 2 copies of the ridiculous film!?
Free!

Dodgy film, magnificent soundtrack

Smashin' fashion
It's New York fashion week, so, while painting, cleaning, culling and a bathroom renovation are front of my mind, sartorial splendour is edging its way to the centre. Yikes.
Not such a bad thing though, for at the end of this recent bout of renovating/painting will be one freshly painted and polished studio for yours truly to make jewellery in; what Triple Cee was created for in the first place...my, how we get distracted.

Stop procrastinating, start painting!
The sun is shining, but it's not hot enough to walk to the beach.
Yup, it's perfect painting weather, which I should be doing (it'll make one room almost complete), but am wandering around Apartment Therapy (between spasmodic trips into the garden) - it's research, right?
