The 50c cool thing from The Salvation Army

Lovely with lemons.
Lemons, it's time for your closeup!
Holidays are the best time to scour the op shops; work gets in the way of a good trawl.
So, Rex and I dropped into Salvos on the way to the second-best coffee in Tasmania yesterday, and I found this thing.
I looked at it and thought 'nah' (someone had artistically(!) painted two-tone green fruit, grapes maybe, on it), then I looked again and thought 'yes. I will buy you, only if I get rid of two things I already own'.
So, that's my new thing, buy to replace, not add to.
Plus, I sanded the grapes off.

Cool thing and lemon-coloured lamps. Mad synchronicity!
Then, later in the day, I looked here and saw the same thing - the cool thing.

Penguin takes flight

Futurama cafe machina
Lovely pressed tin ceiling.
Eiffel chairs.
Original tiles and beautiful lead-glass windows.
Penguin's Thomas' family store was salvaged from developers and it's been lovingly divided up.
A small, but lovely new space, by the lovely Tanya, is now on Main St.
Just up the road is Nest, a cute homewares store run by the lovely Natalie, formerly of Mason & Mason, which stocks my favourite Glasshouse Fragrances candles.
Ah, Penguin.

Oh deer(s)...

Feathered friends

Lovely feathers from the lovely Tina's daughter's pet bird (gathered from the bottom of the cage - the bird's cage not Bianca's). Will be made into fabulous jewellery ASAP.

Oh Vienna!

Cool haus on NY Times' website.

Orange crush

Good morning (windows need a wash).

Nice wheels and a nice price, but bathroom renovation comes first (pics to come soon - YAY!).

All aboard the glamour ferry.

Tickets to ride to MONA land.

Art work on the floor.
