Floral neckpiece

A box full of retro plastic flowers picked up at a garage sale have finally found their home.
The fabric they are attached to is a '70s blue and white floral-print cotton. White grosgrain ribbon keeps it all in place.

My glue gun really came into its own for this piece and will continue to do so for subsequent pieces in the same vein.

World in my hands

This old school-room world map has been hanging around for years.

It's damaged but I couldn't bear to throw it away.

So, I cut it up and turned it into a fold-over clutch.

It's fabulous pink silk shantung lining comes from this hideous-shaped but lovely-coloured bridesmaids frock.

The frock's organza lining was used for the rose corsage (previous post).

A rose, by any other name...

Fragrant roses are my favourite perfume. I photograph them simply because I am in awe of how beautiful and perfect they look. This one inspired my free-form, silk-chiffon corsage.
