Blogs in blogland

Another blogger I've become quite the fan of is Door Sixteen.
This is one uber-handywoman! And to top that off, she posts how-tos and step-by-step instructions on all her home-renovating/decorating adventures. Particularly impressive was her sash windows fix up and her Ikea blind customising tutorial.
Thrown into the mix are little insights into the woman herself, via old photos and tales of her music crushes etc.
For weekends, she posts to-do lists, which appear mammoth and un-doable, but later on you'll find strikes through all she has achieved, all the while updating a pretty handsome blog. Incredible.

On tour (part 2)

I got this pair of perfect-condition classic '60s Australian-made Parker chairs on the street in Bondi for $0. Love hard rubbish. Still kicking myself for not also grabbing the lounge. Hopefully someone else did and is/was as happy as I am/was when I stumbled across them.

Weird monkey fruit bowl is one of my favourite finds. I love him. He's a numbered edition - 15 of 36 - and is made by Bellini, Italy. Fabulous '70s-era kitsch. The tin toy, Happy Wanderer, was a gift from my sister and her husband.

Keeping calm. Carrying on.

A girl can't help collecting what she loves. Colour, colour and more colour.

Plastic Pernod water jug, to drink with the classic French aperitif, picked up from a great vintage/secondhand store on the way out of North Hobart heading towards Moonah.

Fash mag hag

Ever bought a magazine just for one particualr fashion shoot? I do.
The execution of this shoot from UK Harpers Bazaar drew me in.
And the location - that amazing mid-century modern house! - is the reason why I bought the whole damn magazine. That multi-coloured fringed Tom Ford dress is not bad either.

What about that Tom Ford dress!

Rebecca Hall is the brunette Scarlett Johansson. No wonder Woody Allen cast them both in Vicky, Cristina, Barcelona.
